In light of recent easing of COVID-19 restrictions by New York State, we can now consider a meaningful "reopening and return" to our parishes. With these new guidelines, which apply to houses of worship, parishes in the archdiocese are now able to take the following course of action:
Effective the weekend of June 5 - 6, the Church of Immaculate Conception will be open to full 100% capacity. The front doors will be opened and the side door as well.
For now, we will not resume the sign of peace.
Reception of the Precious Blood will not resume right now. Communicants will continue to be encouraged to receive only in the hand rather than on the tongue.
Holy Water fonts should continue to remain empty.
Use of hymnals and missalettes will resume June 5 - 6.
Parish bulletins will resume June 6th. It will also remain on the parish website.
We are relying on the honesty of people regarding their vaccination status. No one will be asked to produce a vaccination card nor will be designated to certain areas of the church by his or her status.
Masks must be worn for Mass.
As of June 6th, there will no longer be a 5:00 pm Sunday Mass.
The elevator will be back in service as of June 5th.
